Conference
Every year North Coast Calvary Chapel hosts a Sports Leadership Training Conference. It is an opportunity for you to receive hands-on training from international leaders in global sports strategies to equip you to use sports to evangelize and reach your communities.

Trainers from around the world will share strategic techniques for developing a sports ministry specific to your community. Pastors, leaders, and anyone passionate about sport will be inspired by and given the tools they need to either begin a sports ministry or take theirs to a new level.

We offer Level One and Level Two training programs to help you take your sports ministry to the next level.

Level One
Discover the power of experiential learning to help you start or expand a sports ministry. The focus of Level One Training will cover topics such as:


Ready – the vision of sport ministry
Set – The 9 heart values of the movement.
Go – what are the strategies of the movement
The windows of sharing the Gospel
How to work as a team
Learning through Games
Servant Leadership

Level Two
Level Two will take you deeper into the challenges of sports ministry. Focus topics include:


Reaching athletes – Developing them to disciple
Whole life Coaching
Growing your church through outreach for Children using sport
How to train others in Bible discovery
Discipleship making principles
Conflict resolution principles
How to facilitate a group
Characteristics of a Healthy Spot ministry team
How to Multiply Sport facilitation teams
Healthy Partnering
Answering the tough questions of the Gospel

Cost: $300




Note: To attend Level Two Training, all applicants must have completed Level One.

Conference starts at 7:30AM and ends at 5:00PM.


Host Homes are provided for those who need housing. Be sure to make us aware of your housing needs on the registration form.


Transportation provided from airport to host homes, as well as from the host homes to the conference site and back daily. Be sure to send your flight itinerary to us as soon as you can.


Be sure to wear comfortable clothing to allow for free movement. This conference is very experiential in nature — be prepared to participate.
